Companies and individuals spend much effort creating data and then sharing it. The ability to tell a story with your data is a valuable talent that can provide insights and help you make better decisions.
The six principles of data visualization and storytelling will be covered in this course.
This course is software neutral, which means you may use the principles in this course with data from any analytics platform. Then, whatever software you use to tell your story can be told more simply, understood more easily, and used to greater effect.
The data storytelling and visualization course focuses on design thinking and does not require prior knowledge or experience with specialized data tools or computer languages.
This course is designed for anyone who needs to communicate something using data, including (but certainly not limited to) analysts sharing the results of their work, students visualizing thesis data, managers needing to communicate in a data-driven way, and leaders informing their board. We believe that anyone can improve their ability to communicate effectively using data.
